It is a polycrystalline, metal in a form of a square plate available in four sizes: 7 x 7 x 0.5 mm3, 10 x 10 x 0.5 mm3, 15 x 15 x 0.5 mm3 and 25 x 25 x 0.5 mm3 (other sizes are available on request). Pure metals and alloys (e.g. Nickel, Copper, Stainless Steel 316L/317L, Titanium, Zinc, Lead, Tantalum and Silver) are commonly used as reactive electrodes or passive current collectors, in electrochemistry.

Application note
These pure metal and alloy plates as electrodes find application in a broad range of electrochemical processes because of their high electrical conductivity and mechanical stability. There are also commonly used as current collectors for thin films characterization. After use the metal plate can be chemically cleaned and mechanically polished using micro-sized abrasives (e.g. using sub-micron alumina suspension) followed by sonication. The metal plates electrodes can be used repeatedly.
